The Rhino Management and Monitoring Tools default to memory settings that will allow operation on most systems without error.

It may occasionally be necessary to tune the memory requirements for each tool. In particular, exporting and importing very large profile tables or deployable units may require increasing the heap limit above the default values for the rhino-console, rhino-export or rhino-import tools.

Memory settings can be configured for each tool separately by editing the tool script in $RHINO_HOME/client/bin and adding a GC_OPTIONS= line. For example:

The memory settings can be set globally for all tools by editing the existing GC_OPTIONS line in $RHINO_HOME/client/etc/rhino-client-common.

Warning OpenCloud recommends not decreasing the default values unless you need to run the tools in a memory-constrained environment.
