Sentinel writes binary CDRs using the CDR RA. Refer to CDR Resource Adaptor section of this guide for more information about Sentinel and the CDR RA. |
List CDRs
The Sentinel SDK contains a List CDRs tool, which can be used to print Sentinel’s binary CDRs files to a human readable format.
The CDR files contain binary encoded Diameter AVPs files in addition to a header and footer. The List CDRs tool decodes the binary CDR file and all the Diameter AVPs which is contains, printing them to the console.
It also supports printing the older 'legacy' CDR format which is not based on AVPs, as used by Sentinel version 2.4.x and earlier.
How to use it in a nutshell:
-
Install the SDK normally using the SDK installer script, which will automatically install list-cdrs at
ipsmgw-sdk/tools/list-cdrs
-
Run
ipsmgw-sdk/tools/list-cdrs/list-cdrs.sh CDRFILE1 [CDRFILE2]…
This guide covers the installation options and customisation options available for List CDRs.
Protobuf
Protobuf 2.3.0 is required to build and extend CDR modules included with the SDK. This guide covers installing Protobuf for use with the SDK. If using the product "out of the box", Protobuf is not required.
