        Retrieve a mapper
        Parameters:
        key - selection key
        from - class the mapper maps from
        to - class the mapper maps too
        Returns:
        a mapper, or null if no matching mapper was found
        Throws:
        MapperException - if there is a failure whilst finding a mapper
