The Sh Cache Resource Adaptor contains a Diameter Sh stack which it uses to send requests to the HSS, and a series of in memory caches that store the information received in response.

The Resource Adaptor provides APIs for:

  • applications to request and update data in the HSS (optionally caching the data), and

  • an operational API for querying and invalidating cached information

The Sh interface is defined in 3GPP TS 29.328 and TS 29.329. The APIs and caches are based on the Data References defined 3GPP TS 29.328 table 7.6.1.
