The Sh Cache Microservice is a network element that provides a caching layer in front of a Home Subscriber Server (HSS) for certain queries over Diameter Sh.

The Sh interface to the HSS is based on the Diameter protocol and is specified in 3GPP specs 29.328 & 29.329
